From my office in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, I serve clients throughout Southeast South Dakota.

My focus on a small number of practice areas allows me the freedom to know the intricacies of the law as it relates to the various aspects of a family law, criminal law, bankruptcy, real estate, business or estate matter. My focus also means that I have the time really listen to my clients and provide prompt, thorough responses to questions or concerns. Unlike some other lawyers, I believe that a proactive response to a legal matter is the best response I do not wait around for a case to settle itself. I have the eagerness and dedication to go the extra mile to resolve each case in my office in a way that is most beneficial to my client.

I have been a trial lawyer for twenty-seven years, I have been a Prosecutor, a Magistrate Judge, a Real Estate Abstractor and a History Professor. My familiarity with the court system, its personnel, judges and defense counsel is an absolute advantage for my clients. In any representation I bring not only my vast and varied legal experience and writing skills, but the mature perspective and motivation to help people in need that comes with being a grandparent.
